Pass that Paper (“the App”) is provided by SUROS Systems Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company number 17358730), registered office 32 Field Lane, Appleton, Warrington, WA4 5JR (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at passthatpaper.app@gmail.com.
By downloading, accessing or using the App you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, and that you are at least 18 years old. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and their Usage Rules, for your own private study. You must not: copy, resell, sub-licence, rent or redistribute the App or its content; extract, scrape or reproduce the question bank; reverse-engineer or attempt to derive the source code (except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law); or use the App in any unlawful way, or to build a competing product.
As a consumer buying digital content at a distance, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. However, Pass that Paper Pro gives you immediate access to the paid content as soon as your subscription starts. By subscribing and beginning to use the paid content, you expressly ask us to start providing it straight away, and you acknowledge that you will lose the 14-day right to cancel once access has begun. You can still turn off automatic renewal at any time (see section 4), and this does not affect your other legal rights.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the digital content we provide must be as described, of satisfactory quality and reasonably fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those rights. If something we supply does not meet those standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or an appropriate refund — please contact us at passthatpaper.app@gmail.com and we will help. Refunds for App Store purchases are processed through Apple.
The App and all of its content — including the question bank, explanations, text, design and software — are owned by SUROS Systems Ltd or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.
Pass that Paper is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or any examining body. “CII”, unit codes such as R01–R05, and examination names are used purely to identify the syllabus the App helps you revise, and remain the property of their respective owners.
The content is provided for examination-revision purposes only. While we work hard to keep it accurate and up to date, it is provided as a study aid and we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free, or that it reflects the very latest syllabus or figures. Using the App does not guarantee that you will pass any examination. The content is not financial, legal, tax or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such. This section does not affect your rights under section 5.
We aim to keep the App available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of the App, and we may add, change or remove content from time to time.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (section 5).
Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss of examination outcome, loss of profit, or any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable at the time you started using the App. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the App is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid for the App (through Apple) in the 12 months before the claim, or £50. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
You obtain the App through Apple's App Store, and you and we acknowledge the following:
You may stop using the App at any time and delete it. We may end your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and liability) continue to apply after your use ends.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, bring them to your attention within the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your home nation. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
If you have a question or a complaint about the App, please contact us first at passthatpaper.app@gmail.com — we will do our best to put things right. Our details are:
